BROADWAY BRIDGE

NOW - September 3, 2010 - FULL BRIDGE CLOSURE

• No motorized vehicle traffic will be permitted on the bridge during this time.
• Beginning July 19 thru September 3 the bridge will be closed to bicycle and pedestrian traffic.
• The Lovejoy ramp is closed to all traffic east of 9^th.
• NW Broadway is closed to thru vehicles north of Hoyt, and to all vehicles north of Irving - access to Union Station will remain open.
• N Broadway is closed west of Larrabee.
• Increased work hours anticipated.

September 4, 2010 - June 30, 2011 - Broadway Bridge construction

• Expect lane closures with one lane in each direction maintained.
• The bridge will have a height limitation of 12´0" as well as narrowed lanes.
• The #9 bus will be re-routed across the Steel Bridge during this work.
• RV´s and large vehicles should detour because of narrow lanes.
• Bicycle and pedestrian access will be maintained, please use caution in work zones.

PEARL DISTRICT

Track installation and utility work on the Lovejoy ramp thru 9^th & Lovejoy intersection

• NW Lovejoy ramp to the bridge will be closed east of 9^th for this work.
• The weeks of July 26, Aug 2 the track construction will cross 9^th Ave on Lovejoy closing the intersection.
• Driveway access will be accommodated.
• Sidewalks to remain open.

OCS and Traffic Signal Foundation/Conduit installation 11^th/10^th/9^th & Lovejoy and 10^th & Northrup

• Expect intermittent lane closures.

• Construction hours 7AM - 7PM, Monday - Friday (some Saturdays)
• Lovejoy may be closed in both directions between 9^th and 11^th.
• 9^th will be open northbound and southbound.
• 10^th may be restricted to streetcar-only traffic with vehicular traffic detoured at Johnson while water work is crossing 10^th.
• Local access and parking will be open between Johnson and Lovejoy on 10^th.
• Sidewalks to remain open.
• Bikes will be detoured with traffic.

• Up to two lanes may be closed at each intersection to facilitate the installation of the lining.
• Lining will be installed in the sewer line at night.  This work may result in a chemical-like odor in the surrounding area and will require the use of a compressor.

• The intersection of Larrabee and Broadway will be closed July 15 - 27 for track installation.  Signed detour at Benton.
• The intersection of Benton and Broadway will close July 28.
• Only one lane on the north side of Broadway will be open 24/7.  Exception:  One thru lane and one right turn lane will be open on Broadway between Victoria and Williams.

• Multnomah will be restricted to one lane in each direction 7am - 4pm. 
• Bicycles may need to ride in travel lanes at times on Multnomah.
• Bicycle access will be maintained on 7^th.

• Vehicular traffic will be limited to one direction of travel only (primarily southbound) on 7^th.
• Intersections may be closed as the work progresses.

• Bicycle and pedestrian access will be maintained though at times bikes may have to ride in the vehicle travel lane, or be detoured.  
• Bicyclists should use caution in construction zones.

• 2-Way vehicular traffic will be maintained with flaggers.  At times, it may be limited to one direction of travel only (primarily southbound) on 7^th.

• Bicyclists should use caution in construction zones.

• The week of July 26 the left northbound lane will be closed 10 PM to 6 AM at the Weidler and Broadway overpasses.
• The weeks of July 26, Aug 2 the left southbound lane will be closed 10 PM to 6 AM at the Weidler and Broadway overpasses.
