Portland Streetcar Service Updates
Streetcar service returns to the eastside beginning Monday, August 17, 2015
After a seven week closure of the Streetcar’s Central Loop (CL), service will return to the eastside beginning Monday, August 17, 2015. Streetcar service was interrupted to accommodate Multnomah County’s Broadway Bridge painting project which began on June 26, 2015 and is expected to continue for several months. The closure allowed the County’s contractor to erect scaffolding which will allow the streetcar to operate while the bridge is painted.
Eastside streetcar service will run to SE Mill Street only, with no service to OMSI until August 30th. Crews are currently repairing the platforms and track at OMSI before streetcars begin operating on the Tilikum Crossing beginning August 30th. September 12th marks the opening of Tilikum Crossing: Bridge of the People to the public and the introduction of the A and B Loop Streetcars. To learn more about service changes, click here.
Thank you for your patience during this service interruption.
Central Loop Service Temporary Closure
The Central Loop (CL) is currently closed through mid-August due to electricity shut-offs related to Multnomah County's Broadway Bridge painting project.
For more information on the painting project visit Multnomah County's website.
The Streetcar stop at SW Bond & Lane has been temporarily relocated about 30 feet to the north along Bond due to the construction of the apartment building at this location. Please board the streetcar at the new temporary stop where the streetcar sign is located.
